This website makes us of Google Connect, which lets you sign in with your Gmail, Yahoo or OpenID account. By signing in you can connect with other users, leave comments, and (in future) rate parts of the site (such as paper submission for the various events and conferences we are planning). We plan to make this community as open as possible and to ask your input on the direction of this research network. So, please do join by signing in. You can sign out any time.

How can I participate?

Research Networks can only succeed with the work of not only the members, but also those who are interested in furthering the field. You can contribute to the “CALL and the Learner” ReN through any of the following ways:

1. Join the Research Network as a member. Free membership entitles you to participation in any events we organise and allows you submit a paper for possible inclusion in the 2011 AILA symposium in Beijing. Membership will also ensure you are kept up-to-date with the activities and publications of the Research Network.

2. Inform colleagues of he Research Network by posting this website on mailinglists and blogs, and by telling your (graduate) students about it.

3. Organise “CALL and the Learner” panel discussions or special forums at a local and international conferences.

4. Base workshops, mini-conferences, and other local events on the “CALL and the Learner” theme.

5. Organise special issues of journals or research bulletins on the “CALL and the Learner” theme.

Join our network!

By joining our network you will be be kept informed of new publications and events. You will be able to submit proposals for future conferences such as the symposium at the AILA conference in Beijing and vote in future elections. Joining is free and you do not need to be a member of AILA.
